OMG look it's alive

Yes, believe it or not, neither Ami nor I have died or moved to Antartica or become hermits. We've just been. . .Um, not posting. Which is sad. But we're back now! Or, at least, I'm back now. Did you miss me? 'Course you did.
Anyway, next month, as you hopefully know, is April. What you may not know, is that April= SCRIPT FRENZY TIME. Yes, it's another one of those insane writing challanges like nanowrimo, except this time it's scripts instead of novels. This'll be my second year, and Ami's first. I'll be writing about time travel and planets and space drama and all that good stuff. No clue what Ami's writing about. Probably something awesome.
. . .I don't have anything else to put here, soo. . . enjoy this picture of my cat: His name is Big Brother and yes, he is watching you. ((obscure humor for the win))

This is why I Love my home town

So today is, what? January 22? Dead of winter, right? Snow piled everywhere, really, really cold...

Hah.
For Ami and me, it's the beginning of spring. It was 61 degrees all day today, absolutely gorgeous. I went walking for a few hours, wandering, listening to this song. It's a good song to wander too. (Oh, and while I'm at it, all you hoopy froods should check this out. It's the 1981 TV series of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Luuuurrrrve). We have this narrow window of time between winter and summer when it's the perfect temperature all the time. It lasts about two weeks. Then it's summer and everything gets hot and brown and dead. So I decided to make the most of it. I walked to Olive Tree lane:And sat in a tree all day. Reading The Odyssey. It's surprisingly good. Plus, If I'm hoping to pass the test, it's probably a good idea to maybe actually read the book, you think? Then, I walked up and down looking ridiculous jumping after olives. Once I get more than one thermos full (I had brought some tea, then when I finished it, I put olives in the thermos. Okay?) I'm going to cure them. Maybe with brine.

One last thing, a shout out to my friend Bri, who I met through Screnzy last April. Haaaaaiiiii!! *waves* You should all check out her vlog.
Okay, that's it for now. See ya'

The Dangerous Night of Writing Dangerously...Well sort of... :-D

Sleepover at #2's house! We got our laptops set up, and are tapping away at our respective keyboards, typing diligently. Or, at least, that's what we'd like you to believe. While we have got a fair amount of writing done, we've also been spending time on the Script Frenzy site, reading Screnzyisms*, and looking at amazing, mush ocean photography by Jim Patterson. It's just...wow. You HAVE to see it for yourselves.  http://www.jimpattersonphotography.com/index.html Well, what are you waiting for? Go on! Get!

*Example of a Screnzyism:
HEATER jumps up and gives MIA a hug.
AAhhhhh!! Look out Mia! A radiator or some type of heating device is going to engulf you in an embrace!

Now we're off to watch The Big Bang Theory!! Oh procrastination, thy name is bliss.

Screnzy and Nano, two months of literary insanity

Well, seeing as #two hasn't got the pics up yet, I'll fill you in on Nanowimo and Script Frenzy, the two writing projects we're both attempting this year. Actually, both #two and I have done Nano before, she in o8 and 09, me in 09, but this will be our first go at writing Scripts. Personaly, I can't wait, but April is going to be a hectic month, what with the choir trip to LA and the History project being due... But I'll get it all in...somehow. At least I have both my plots! The plot bunnies have been merciful this year.

Here are my projects for this year:

Screnzy: War Child
Sci-fi. Think Joss Whedon's Firefly meets Markus Zusak's The Book Thief. The human race has spread through out the solar system, and the inner planets are at war with the moons of the outer planets over mining rights in the asteroid belt, as well as some other things. Vashi lives on a refugee camp on Triton, after an attack on her home planet Mars. She signs on with a bloquade running ship...and that's all I can tell you at the moment.

Nano: Mother of Worlds
Sci-fi again. After reciving a page out of an ancient book as payment, Kara sells her small trading ship and uses the money to purchase the run down Navigator to search for mankinds planet of origen, Home.

So...there you have it. See ya
